A pair of giltwood altar candlesticks, probably Italian, on cylindrical stems, each decorated with bands of acanthus leaves, above triform bases with scroll carved angles, 51cm high (excluding electrical fittings)

Provenance: from the estate of Elizabeth Pepys-Cockerell, whose husband John was a descendant of the diarist Samuel Pepys. His ancestors had a long association with Sezincote in Gloucestershire
